This is exactly what the title says! It is the relentless pursuit!

Maybe the most important thing needed to accomplish what you want! It is what pushes you in the face of adversity, pain, and suffering!

Think of anyone that has achieved greatness in their life. Were they born like they are now? Greatness can come in many forms and their is no right or wrong, no real measure for it. To a newborn, opening it’s eyes to the world for the first time is greatness, to a young child your parents being able to put you on their shoulders is greatness. As we grow and change our definition of greatness changes, and greatness can be big or small. When one reflects on greatness you can often see small things and extremely large things that inspire greatness!

You may be thinking what does greatness have to do with “relentless pursuit”? It really helps to give context to the subject at hand.

So what is relentless pursuit? How would you define it and what does it mean to you?

Relentless pursuit is the non-stop, undeniable, unwavering work that we put in. It is the ability to push through in the face of all odds, the ability to persevere under immense pressure, even when failure seems the only option.

So, why is it important to be relentless in your pursuit? What difference does it make, why should you or anyone else for that matter strive to be relentless in your pursuit? And, most importantly where will it take you?

The last question is a hard one as no one really knows where one will go only where they strive to go. Relentless pursuit is not so much about the destination but much more about the will to get through, to push on and continually grow.

Adversity is everywhere it comes in our weakest moments and can even come in our times of great triumph. Adversity is the pressure to not grow, not expand, to not better ourselves, it can even be as simple as the pressure to stay the same. In life the most important thing is that we continually grow and become a better version of ourselves. Without the growth we are constant, adrift in life and will never achieve more than our current surrounding and circumstances allow. That push to stay the same and maintain the status quo comes in all forms, from internal (what we say to ourselves), to external (loved ones, family, friends, circumstances in our environment). That adversity can weigh on us, make us falter, not believe in out ability to succeed, to doubt our cause and direction, and ultimately give up. This will and does happen to everyone in life. It is a constant battle and one that must be fought.

Adversity is the business you have tried to start, poured lots of money and time into, sacrificed so much for that just doesn’t seem to get anywhere. Adversity is the when you don’t have the money to feed yourself or your family, adversity is the disease someone gets that renders them incapacitated in any form. Adversity can be as small as someone saying something to you that puts you down, or having to get up at 4 am to get to work. The point is adversity comes all the time in many forms, we all face it at one level or another.

Think of the adversity you had as a kid, it was so hard and real at the time, but if you look at it now you may no longer even see it as adversity. YOU have grown beyond that. It didn’t make the adversity any less at that point in your life, it doesn’t mean it didn’t exist, at the time it was very real and hard.

How do you combat adversity? What do you do to push through when it is tough? How do you do it?

It is with, or should I say it is Relentless Pursuit! It is the unwavering push to achieve and push through the tough times. It is knowing that no matter what gets in your way you will always stand back up and go, you can get knocked down but you never stay down. It is knowing that no matter what you will not be stopped, you can be knocked down and pushed off course but you will get there no matter what!

I am tempted to get into the how but this piece is really only about relentless pursuit, that unwavering perseverance, the willingness to never give up and to stand up in the face of all odds.

To succeed we must move past our current place in life and this can only be done through growth.
