Well here we are again, starting the holidays and with that comes all the food! The gathering with friends and family, all the lunches and dinner, the parties, and who can leave out all the candy, cakes, and pies!!!

Does it make you feel bad, the pressure to eat, the constant struggle to keep your diet in check? The pressure from society to be better and look a certain way? The constant parties where you go and eat then beat yourself up afterwards for eating everything you did. Do you always feel bad afterwards? I know I used to always eat and eat and eat, then put myself down for eating and enjoying myself! I would feel so horrible about myself! Well not any more!

Stop and realize no matter where you are in your life, young, old, fit, or over weight, don’t beat your self up! We all stumble now and then, and life is about balance! This time around stop and say to yourself I am worth it. Decide to make small changes, eat a little less and enjoy what you do eat. Realize that life is a marathon not a sprint.  Take the days where you don’t have parties or gathering and commit to eating a little better.

Stop and tell yourself that you are worth it! You can have anything you want it just takes time, dedication and a little effort!

Every time before a big gathering stop and take some time and decide how you will approach it. Tell yourself that’s its okay. You are still strong, and worth it! One day will not kill you, just don’t make it a lifetime! Keep your head up high and don’t stop telling yourself that you are amazing.

Don’t let your feelings stop you from getting right back on track and making good decisions, but celebrate your achievements and enjoy every day!
