Do you ever stop and look at who you have been? Are you honest with yourself about who you are today, where you have been, and the things you do?

If you don’t know, really know, where and who you have been then you do not have a starting point. And, without a starting point it really doesn’t matter where you are going!

Think about yourself right now!

Are you good with who you are right now? Is everything in your life what you expected it to be? Are you the person you want to be? Is there something you want to be or somewhere in life you want to go? Are you good with who you have been?

If you think about those questions and realize you want something more then you need to change who you are! It is a process that only you can do for yourself! Only you can decide who you will be, what you do and who you are, to become the best you!

The first step is to realize who you are today and who you have been in the past.

You need to take an honest look at who you have been, where you have been, and who you are right now! Then accept who you have been and who you are! True acceptance is necessary for you to grow and make the change necessary to become who you want and deserve to be!

Once you can honestly accept who you have been and who you are right now you can start to make a change!

Take the good and especially the bad, take note of it, and accept it! Once you can accept the worst sides of you, you will then have the power to change them! This can be deep or just superficial but you really need to look at every aspect of who you are.

Be raw and real with who you are!

Keep in mind that in life everything is balanced. You can not know good without bad, strong without week, light without dark! We all have everything inside of us, the good and the bad. It is about accepting this and then choosing to become the best you can!

When you are real and honest you become able to slowly dismantle who you are and build a new person! You can then build the person you want to be, the person you deserve to be!

Now that you are accepting of who you are you can then figure out who and what you want to become! Decide who you want to be, how you want to act, how you want to look and how you want you relationships to be!

You now have a honest and accurate starting point and finish line! The race can now be run!

Now comes the hardest part!!! The change, going through the tough stuff, the small successes and big failures, the trials and tough times that inevitably ensue as we change things in our lives!

My next post will be on change! I will talk about change, how to enact it and why it is necessary to change to achieve the success you want in your life! You can also watch my video on change here!

Here’s a little about me that I know! It is real, raw, allows me to make the changes I want, and hopefully will give you the courage to look at yourself honestly!

I sucked at school as a kid! I was assaulted as a young child! I have neglected my health and let myself become soft! I have been shitty to people I care about! I have been divorced! I am lazy!

Seeing the real you, the lazy, not good enough, not hard working, messed up person that I used to be is okay. It is who I was but not who I am or will be!

Listen, we all have this dark messed up side, the side we don’t show the world. It’s okay to accept who you have been and the things in your life that have happened, and then you can make the change necessary to become a stronger, better person!

Looking at these things the bad things has allowed me to make a better life. I have great relationships and those that are toxic are removed, I take more responsibility for my life and this has allowed me to make the changes I want and work towards continual growth!

I continually learn despite my strong aversion to school as a child. I work hard, and when I look at what I am doing I can accept when I am being lazy and work harder. When I am unsatisfied with my personal image I work to change it! I have a great job, and I manage my own business and site!

Most of the people that know me would say, your successful, your have a great job, great loved ones, your centered, spiritually connected, well balanced, etc, but I will leave you with this:

It is not about anyone else, it is about striving to be the best you that you can! While I feel quite successful and have many things that I am extremely grateful for I still want to be better, live a better life, help more people. I want to get to the end and have nothing left on the table, to be satisfied with knowing that there was nothing else for me to give!

By looking at these things and accepting them I have been able to achieve some great success! Enough success… Not really… I can do so much more…

And you can too!

Take the time in your life, realize that you need to find out who you are and who you have been! Know that who you are and have been does not tell you who you will be or where you will go! It is only your starting point! Today is the start of the rest of your life!

Where will you go?

Who will you be?

And what are you going to do about it!!!
